We set up (I am still very bitter about the fact that I was the only one who got two short panels to display my work, when everyone else got at least one -shakes fist at the sky- ) for several starving hours the Thusday before last, practiced on Friday (my speaking partner was my art teacher, which scared me shitless at first, but really ended out helping in the end), and, then, on Monday came the fateful hour.
A couple of people went before me and all had good news, so it wasn't terribly nerve-wracking walking up to the library. It was nerve-wracking, however, waiting for about half an hour for her to finish with the person ahead of me. But, when my interview with her started, she gave me a cookie... So all was well. I talked about each of my pieces, she asked me about my involvement with my school's GSA and my connection to animals and such... It was really easy to talk to her and tell her about myself and my artwork.
And, now that that's over, we have to do a mural. A mural of Starry Night by Van Gogh. I really don't think that we can do it before school's over; that's one damn complicated painting.
